Obituary of Richard George HUNTER

January 31 1957 - August 27 2022

Rick passed away peacefully in his sleep, in the early hours of Saturday, August 27^th, 2022 at Dufferin Oaks Long Term Care at the age of 65. Rick spent his early years growing up in Grand Valley and was the son of Margaret (Batchelor) Hunter and George Hunter. Brother of Bonita Hunter, Janice Hooker, and Murray Hunter (Colleen Hunter). Beloved uncle to nieces and nephews Krystal, Ryan, Deborah, Kailey, Kyle, and Brodie. Great uncle to Balin, Durin, Orin and Kalin.

Rick spent many of his days travelling around Grand Valley and was a town staple at baseball and hockey games. Rick loved spending time with his nieces and nephews, taking them for rides in his chair or playing hockey in the driveway. Rick enjoyed his years at Dufferin Oaks with his many friends and activities. He was often found greeting everyone at the door of the day programs or touring around the Oaks to visit with residents and staff.

Services will be held at In Memoriam Funeral Service -  28 Main Street North, Grand Valley on Monday, September 5^th, 2022. Visitation at 10:00 am followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 am.
