Sending our deepest condolences and prayers of sympathy for all of the Hunter family. I remember from a young age, going to play baseball at the park and Rick was sitting right behind the fence behind the umpire. It never mattered who was playing you could pretty much guarantee Rick would be at the ball diamond no matter who or which team was playing. Especially on Thursday nights when the mens league was playing and Murray was back catching and then when my brother Kyle took over the position. If you were playing and took a sec to run over and see Rick during the game he would tell you something about the game that would help whether you were winning or losing. George was guaranteed to not be too far away from Rick as well. During the winter you would find Rick at the arena watching whoever was playing hockey. Anyone who was lucky enough to meet or know Rick they were truly blessed and guaranteed to have left Rick with a smile on their face. I have been lucky to have kept in touch with Rick throughout the years on Facebook. We shared lots of nights after the Senior Tornadoes game having a drink or two with George, Rick, Ferg, Mister, Beav and Marie lots of stories and laughs.
I’m sure George and Rick will be having a beer, keeping an eye on the baseball and hockey games.
R.I.P. God Speed Rick
Thankful for knowing you, Gwen & Carl Leeder

Our deepest sympathy. Rick will be truly missed by his family and many others in the communities he has lived in. He always had a smile on his face even as he faced my challenges in his live. He was a wonderful son, brother and uncle to his family. Thinking of you all at this difficult time.

I had the pleasure of spending time with Rick when he visited the Adult Day Program. He would greet everyone with a smile, enjoy a coffee, go to the movies, have a Fish and Chip lunch or a nice BBQ on the patio with us, or get dressed up ready for our Halloween fun. He helped me a few times take a kitten or 2 of mine on his lap and show them off to those at Dufferin Oaks- making a sale lol. Biggest heart of all time. Lots of laughs. He always loved his homemade Birthday cards from us. Always in my heart!! Charlene (Elliott)Timmins.

Ricky (and Bonita) shared a birthday with my Dad and our families often celebrated together on a cold January evening. Babysitting Ricky and siblings was my first paying job and Ricky always stayed awake much longer than me and was guaranteed to get into some kind of mischief. He always had that wonderful smile and a joke. Ricky was an important part of life in Monticello, Grand Valley and later in Shelburne and will be greatly missed. My thoughts are with Margaret and family.

Condolences to the Hunter family. Dad and I were both sorry to hear about Rick's passing. I remember being downtown Grand Valley at Beckers and seeing Rick. He always had time to stop and talk to you. He'd ask about mom and dad and how I was doing.
