Obituary of Mary McClelland

McCLELLAND, Mary Josephine (born MacKinnon) passed away at the age of 97 years at Shelburne Residence on May 12, 2015. Mary was the loving wife of William McClelland (predeceased 1992) (married 1947). Mary, much-loved mother to Helen Rejminiak (predeceased 2009), Bill (Donna), Tom (Lillian), Marie MacDonald (Dean) and Anne Somerville (Jim). Dearly loved Grandma to Adrian Rejminiak, Darryl Ray (Jill), Sarah Livingston (Mike) Shalynn Musgrave and Jay Musgrave. Great Grandma (“Grapes”) to Sierra, Jessica, Jordyn and Kenzie. Mary was born in Toronto in 1918 to George and Jose MacKinnon and has lived with her family in Orangeville since 1995. She was predeceased by her siblings Donald MacKinnon, George MacKinnon and Helen O’Shea. Mary had a heart of gold and a passion for babies and children and loved to knit. She had a smile, a laugh and kind word for everyone she met. Mary will be missed by her dear friends at the Dufferin County Adult Day Program whom she grew to love as family over the past 18 years especially Marg, Betty, Margaret M. and all the rest of the gang. A special thank you to Duane Erskine and staff at Bethsaida Retirement where Mary called home for the past 6 years and the caring staff of Shelburne Residence during her brief time with them. Family celebration of Mary’s life to be held.
