Obituary of Michelle Virginia Andrews

Michelle Andrews was born on November 12th, 1949, in Cornwall, Ontario. She grew up on a farm, caring for the cows and horses as well as the many foster children that shared the family’s farmhouse. Michelle was passionate about horseback riding, and taught English riding at an advanced level to many young riders. When the time came to leave home, she moved to Newfoundland to serve as nurse, a career she adored. She left Newfoundland to take a job on the Discovery Train, a rail-going museum that traveled across the country telling the story of Canada’s history. It was there that she met Ron Andrews. Together they traveled across the country. They fell in love, getting off the train and getting married in Alberta, where their beloved daughter Ronelle was born. Ron and Michelle’s life together was marked by their devotion to one another. Michelle was a loving daughter to her mother Maxine, who lived with her, Ron, and Ronelle for many years until her death in 2005. Michelle will be remembered for her fierce passion for service to others, and for the great love she had for her family, in particular her daughter Ronelle and her grandchildren, Anawim and Micah. Michelle passed away at home on June 23rd, 2017, surrounded by her loved ones. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday July 7th, 2017 at the High Country United Church, 346255 15 Sideroad Mono, On at 1 pm with the family receiving friends one hour prior to service time.
