Obituary of Steven Benedict Palubiski

Steven Benedict Palubiski (44) Born January 25, 1973 at Peel Memorial, Brampton and died Tuesday September 26,2017 at Etobicoke General , Toronto. Son of Benedict (Renfrew) and Bonnie (nee Thompson) Palubiski (Mount Forest) and brother of John and David Palubiski of Orangeville. Predeceased by grandparents Leo and Genevieve (nee Sernoskie) Palubiski of Killaloe, Grandma June (nee Gilkes) Thompson/ McIntyre of Dundalk. He will be greatly missed by his Grandpa Robert Thompson in Flesherton and aunts , uncles, cousins and friends too numerous to mention from coast to coast and beyond. Steven attened St.Peter’s and St.Andrew’s Roman Catholic Schools in Orangeville and after a move to Laurel, attended and graduated in June of 1991 from Centre Dufferin District Highschool, Shelburne. Then off to Kemptville College (September /91 to June/92) for a cooking / management program. Steven was a large man with a giant heart. He loved to make people laugh. Always had a joke or riddle. He kept people on their toes with useless and sometimes useful trivia. Busy guy, who loved to bike, swim, play lacrosse, was a paper boy, in a bowling league, was a cub scout and a 4-H member in his teens of Amaranth. He loved playing cards- Magic the Gathering with his best friend Brian Buchanan of Laurel. Steven worked many places – Bun Basket Bakery, Orangeville; Millcroft Inn, Alton; Vinny’s Chuckwagon Restaurant, Killaloe and summers at the family business Bonnechere Bonnies, Round Lake, Ontario. Steven had many health issues over the years but managed to always be a positive influence to everyone he met. There will be a Celebration of Life held for Steven on Saturday, October 14th, 2017 in Shelburne at the Shelburne Legion. Doors open at 2:00pm. There will be a meet and greet, followed by a short service from 3:30pm to 4:30pm including open mic time for family and friends to share their experiences and fun times had with our Steve. At 5pm there will be a fun supper of pizza, wings and roti, cake and refreshments, music and social time. Steven will be placed in the Wingham Cemetery near his Palubiski grandparents and Uncle Tom Palubiski at a later time.
