Obituary of Wayne Ellwood Britton

Britton, Wayne Ellwood After being armed with will and determination, Wayne passed away from his 11 month battle with glioblastoma brain cancer on September 27, 2018 at the age of 65. Cherished husband of Linda Britton (nee Baycroft); loved father of Landry (Michelle Kaufman) and Cody Britton; proud grandpa of Isla, Annie and Lachlan Britton; loving brother of Barry (Josie) Britton; predeceased by his parents Murnie and Iva Britton; son in law to Gloria Baycroft (Bill); brother in law to Rick, Janice and Bobby. Wayne had a love for his dogs Tazer and Toby; through his battle Wayne was supported every step of the way by his best friend Tim Young, and his family Shelly, Tim Jr., and Ryan. Wayne had a Passion for his 1978 Corvette and 1933 Chevy Coupe, had 40 years of service at Bell Canada, and was an avid gardener and BBQer, always with pint in hand. He was the "Trainer Man" for numerous Orangeville minor hockey and lacrosse teams throughout the years and was a devoted fan of the Chicago Blackhawks, Dallas Cowboys and Pittsburgh Pirates. A Special thank you to the dedicated nurses and PSW's on F and E wing at Headwaters Health Care Centre. A Celebration of Wayne’s Life will be held on Sunday November 11, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. at the In Memoriam Life Celebration Centre, 633419 Highway 10, Mono, Ontario. In memory of Wayne, donations may be made to the Gord Downie Fund for Brain Cancer Research made through the Sunnybrook Foundation.
