Obituary Thomas, Robert Albert Lowell Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family at Headwaters Health Care Centre, Orangeville, Ontario on Tuesday March 5, 2019 at the age of 80. He was born on January 6, 1939 in Grand Falls Windsor, Newfoundland and was known as “Lowell” to his family and “Bob” to his friends; Bob is survived by his wife, partner, and best Friend of 55 years Gloria Thomas (nee Stowe), a loving Father to David (Tracy); special friend to daughter Cindy (Cliff); cherished grandfather to Aaron, Amanda, Kevin, Antun (Mellisa) and great-grandfather to Emberley, Markus and Mathias. Loved brother of Bernice, Renee, Jean, Shirley, Olga, Peggy, Rosalind (George) and Larry (Theresa); brother-in-law to Cal (Mable), Carl (Bernice), Rod (Marilyn), Marilyn (Byron), and Eva. Bob is predeceased by his parents Allan and Gladys; sister Deanna; brothers Vaughan and Winston and brother-in-law’s Don and Tony. Bob served his country in the Royal Canadian Armed Forces in the Signal Corp and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 233 serving in the Color Party. Bob worked for Camco in Weston, Ontario before the company moved to Hamilton, Ontario under the banner of G.E. Bob retired after 35 years of service. A celebration of Bob’s life will be held at In Memoriam Life Celebration Centre , 633419 Hwy 10, Mono Plaza, Mono, Ontario on Sunday March 17th at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to service time.
