Ingeborg Elizabeth Hoare

December 11, 1944 - October 19, 2023                                                                                                                Ingeborg passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2023, surrounded by the love of her family at the Bethell Hospice in Inglewood.

Ingeborg, in her 78th year, beloved wife of Robert “Bob” Hoare for 60 years. Loving mother of Michael (Chantelle), David, and Sheri (Rich). Wonderful Gramma to Daniel (Nicole), Kailey (Dillon), Jada, Katlyn, and Grace. Adored Great-Grandma “GG” to Abigail, Robert, and Violet. Ingeborg is also survived by her mother Marie Placzek and her siblings Sonja (Victor) and Peter (Linda).

Originally born into a war zone,1944 in Laurahutten Germany, fleeing a Russian invaded Poland at one-month-old with her mother and father. Inge came to Canada with her siblings, parents, and her Oma on a boat to create the wonderful life she lived. She loved bingo, dollar stores, crafts, and anything that sparkled. However, nothing shone as bright as her smile when spending time with the people she loved - truly the best wife, mom, gramma, and GG there ever was. Inge loved to travel and was fortunate to visit many different countries in her lifetime. She often could be found with a glass of red wine and Julio Iglesias playing, rearranging her living room, or moving furniture that was more than double her size. She is greatly missed by everyone who knew her, but left behind an incredible legacy.

A very special thank you to the amazing palliative care nurses, doctors, and staff at Oakville Memorial Hospital, as well as the staff at Bethell Hospice.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
