Floyd Collins, (62), of Melancthon, ON passed away suddenly on Thursday, September 7, 2023 following an unexpected cardiac event. Floyd, son of Aubrey and June Collins, spent his life on the Collins farm in Melancthon farming and being a free spirit. Floyd spent his life alongside his wife, Kim (née Matthews). Together they had two children, the late Ryan, and Amanda (Calvin Cotton).

Floyd, otherwise referred to as Grampa by Peyton, Addison, and Lincoln Cotton, was a man who had a heart of gold. He was known within Dufferin County for many reasons, some good, some bad. For those that knew him personally, knew he would do whatever he could to look after those he loved.

A private burial will be held at the Shelburne Cemetery where he will be reunited with his late son.

A celebration of life will be held in memory of Floyd at the Shelburne Legion on Saturday, September 30, 2023 from 1-3pm. Located at 203 William Street Shelburne, Ontario L0N 1S0.

In lieu of flowers or a monetary donation, the family asks that you take the time to spend with those you love as life has proven to always be too short.
