Obituary of Donna Luella HOLMES
Donna Luella Holmes
July 5, 1943 – May 31, 2023
It is with great sadness and broken hearts to announce that our beautiful wife, loving mother, and ever-loving grandma earned her wings on May 31, 2023 at the age of 79.
She was the much-loved wife and best friend of Howard for 59 years, loving mother to John (Brenda) & Rob (Faye) and cherished grandma to Kyle (Shannon), Courtney (Levy), Morgan, Mallory (Diego) and her furry grand puppies.
Donna was born to loving parents Elmer & Luella Coleman, she was raised on the family farm on the Fifth Line South of Relessey. The Fifth Line remained her home for her entire life.
Family was her greatest love, followed by the love of her flower gardens which were admired by all that visited during the summer months. She was a long withstanding member of the Relessey Cemetery Board that she held dear to her heart.
Donna touched the lives of many and was loved by all that knew her and she will be greatly missed by her brother and sister-in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends.
Donna requested that in lieu of flowers donations to her much-cherished Relessey Church and Cemetery would be greatly appreciated. Cheques can be made payable to Relessey Church and mailed to 874548 5th Line EHS Mono ON L9W 6A8
A celebration of Donna’s life will be held on Wednesday, June 14th, 2023, from 1:00 – 3:00 pm, at In Memoriam Funeral Services Inc. – 28 Main Street North, Grand Valley, ON L9W 5S7.
Words of remembrance will take place at 2:00 pm.
