Obituary of Richard Gerald AUSTIN

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Richard (Uncle Rich, Dad, Grandpa) Austin on May 7^th, 2023.

Rich is predeceased by his parents, the late Phyllis (nee Gauld) and John Austin and his daughter Sarah.

Richard will be deeply missed by his son Mike and his wife Katie and his three grandchildren: Hannah, Noah and Chloe.

Brother to the late JP (Fiona), Bev (Hal) and Helen (Late Rod).

Uncle Rich will be missed by his cousins, nephews and their families.

Rich will be remembered by his Quebec family and friends, as well as his golf and work friends.

Rich made his career as a shunt truck driver, but tried to make a living with golfing, salmon fishing, watching the Montreal Canadians and spending time with his family and friends.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Rich on Friday May 26th, 2023 from 1:00pm to 3:00 pm, with words of rememberance at 2:00 pm.  Located at In Memoriam Funeral Services - 28 Main Street North Grand Valley, L9W 5S7. 

In lieu of flowers please make a donation in Richard and Sarahs memory to the Sick Kids Foundation or Bethell Hospice.
