Obituary of Kenneth Elmer Jeffery JONES

Please share a memory of Kenneth to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

August 21, 1962 – June 12, 2024

It is with a very heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved Ken, who passed away peacefully after a brief illness on June 12, 2024, at Soldiers Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his father Ray, (February 9, 2018) and his beloved stepson Richard (March 3, 2019).

Ken leaves behind his ever-loving wife of 16 years Debbie, his loving stepchildren who he called his own, Sean (Stacy) and Amanda, his mother Phyllis and his brothers Don (Geraldine) and Glen (Susie).

Cherished Uncle to Mitchell, Kendra, Spencer, Cody, Tyler, Corbyn and Kennedy.

He will be sadly missed by his Aunts, Uncles, cousins and his many friends from near and far.

At one time, Ken had a passion for hunting deer, then it became a passion for feeding the deer in the backyard. When it was feeding time, he loved to watch all the deer come running down the hill when they heard the shed door open. He was determined to have them eat out of his hand, and eventually, he managed to get a couple of them to eat out of the bucket that he used for the feed.

Ken enjoyed many things in life, most of all, surrounding himself with his loving family and friends. Ken was a very kind, loving and caring man who was known by many and loved by anyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure.

As per Ken’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made with a donation in memory of Ken to the Canadian Mental Health Association.

Gone from us his smiling face,

His cheerful, pleasant ways,

His heart that won so many friends,

In bygone, happy days.

A life made beautiful by kindly deeds,

A helping hand for other’s needs,

To a beautiful life comes a sudden end,

He died as he lived, Everyone’s friend.
