I am so shocked and saddened to hear of Alan's passing. For years when I worked in the bakery/deli at Knight's IGA I would serve Alan, he was always so funny and a pleasure to serve. Over the last few years I would see him driving his tractor into town to get groceries at Foodland, and 2 weeks ago we ran into each other and had a quick chat.
Alan will be missed by so many of us.

I've had the privilege working beside Al's Feed sevice , I own a detail shop right beside him, we've had alot of amazing talks about like work ethics/ life etc. He always loved coming over to my shop and seeing all the amazing cars /trucks coming in.He was a hard working man and did what he could for his community. Any time I needed Al's help he was there and always help me with feeds when it came to hunting season. I was truly shocked when I hear the news , and deeply prayed for is recovery. But God asked him to come home. I wanna say to Al's family im sending my love and prayers to you at this time, but just know he was a great kind man. I hope God brings you strength though this difficult time. REST IN PEACE AL . Thank you for always being there.till we meet again.

We are so sad to hear of Al’s passing. Since 1994 we got our horse feed from the store. He was a friend. He knew my family and asked about them every time I was at the shop. IAs they grew up he enjoyed hearing about them especially when our oldest achieved the five minute mile at CDSS. There is a plaque at the high school with the names of those who achieved that. Al Hunter ‘a name and time are on it . Al was also a hockey player and loved hearing about the latest from our youngest. It’s so hard to hear about Als passing because he has always been such a solid part of horse and farm life. His knowledge, pleasant character and nature will be missed. God Bless Al.

Tom & Carolyn, Diane &Ted, I am so sorry to hear of Alan’s passing. My mind goes back in time to our much younger years at CDDHS and at hockey and baseball games. Your Dad behind the bench and your Mom cheering from the stands. Alan always with a grin on his face.
Rest In Peace Alan.

It’s hard to believe we won’t see your grin any more or see you driving your tractor down the highway. Our dad (your Uncle Jack) loved dropping by your store for a chat. I remember being in grade 7 at the high school when Alan was in grade 13. He made his much younger cousin feel better in a very big scary place.
To Tom, Carolyn, Diane and Ted you are in our thoughts during this difficult time. I can see Alan grinning down at all of you.
