Obituary of Charles William WOODS

Charles “Chuck” William Woods February 26, 1941 - June 9, 2022 It's with deep sadness to announce the passing of Charles “Chuck” Woods on June 9th, 2022, at the age of 81. Beloved husband to Carol Woods (nee Robinson) (predeceased). He was the very proud Father of Kimberlee Robertson-Woods (Dan), Odessa Lewis (Brian), Charles “Charlie, Char, Chuck Jr”; Grandfather of Tearrin (Tyler), Shealyn (Max), Preston and Ashlynn, and Great Grandfather to Weston and Wyatt. The son of Jessie Woods (nee Bull) and Charles Woods, and brother to 5 sisters: Rose (Ron) Oak, Maureen “Renee” Woods, Hazel (Jim) Horton, Diane (Ken) Riley, and Sandy (Ron) Norton, and special long-time friend and cousin Jimmy (Ann), and brother in law to Mary (Bruce) Wright, Dian (Artur) McIntosh-Grubich and Bill Robinson. He also has many, many nieces and nephews of whom he expressed his love of his “wonderful family” in his final days. A mechanic by trade, Chuck was a fervent nature lover, animal lover, skilled self-taught wood worker and chess player. He enjoyed having his family grow up on the Trent Severn Waterway System at “The Lantern” and enjoyed many days fishing, boating, waterskiing and sitting by the fire. Even into his later days, he enjoyed playing cards, attending auctions, and ‘playing’ at the casino and bingo hall. Cremation has taken place. A graveside family service will take place at Orangeville Greenwood Cemetery (21 Dufferin County Rd 16) on Friday July 8th, 2022 at 1:30 p.m. Special Thank You to all staff at St. Catharines General Hospital for their compassionate care.
