Verona LANDERS

Obituary of Verona Hazel LANDERS

Today we celebrate the life of my beloved wife Verona Landers. She married me 64 years ago on January 21, 1956. Together we raised 5 children Reg, Donna, Dave (Theresa) Sherry and Paul. Verona and I then were blessed with 12 grandchildren, Karena, Ryan (Heidi) Jeremy, Chad, Christopher, Travis (Samantha) Amy, Keri, Megan, Ashley, Avery and Bobby. Our family grew again with 11 cherished great grandchildren Teague, Kyla, Aiden, Sarah, Maya, Kyra, Dreyden, Natalie, Kinsley, Lucas and Jaxson. Verona was the youngest daughter of Fred and Gertie Staveley. She leaves behind her loving sister Alverna Peacock and sister-in-laws Marg Staveley and Betty Romas. Preceded by her brothers Jack and Jim Staveley and her sister Marg Besley and her brother-in-law Bill Besley and Don Peacock. Verona enjoyed family time the most. She loved the family reunions, and any get together throughout the year especially Christmas and Boxing Day. When we had the trailer at Wasaga, she loved playing euchre, shuffleboard, darts, lawn darts, bingo and sitting around the campfire at night with the rest of the campers. Verona with her love for our homes throughout these many years, could always turn an old house into a beautiful home on the inside, and with her talent for gardening, our home was always a masterpiece on the outside. Verona, I will miss you until we meet again. Take care, I love you always.
